Together towards a better tomorrow!

This innovation challenge would not be possible without our fantastic and generous partners:

Gunnar Sundblad Research Foundation is contributing the 1st prize of €25,000!

Sveaskog and Stora Enso are contributing the prize money for 2nd – 5th places – €2,500 for each team.

THANK YOU!

The Gunnar Sundblad Foundation wants to promote the development, renewal and competitiveness of the wood fiber-based industry. This is achieved through support within a wide range of research activities. In particular, the fund aims to contribute to new insights on product requirements and product opportunities.

Sveaskog is Sweden’s largest forest owner and sells sawlogs, pulpwood and biofuel. Sveaskog also works with land transactions and develops the forest as a venue for hunting, fishing and other nature-based experiences.

Stora Enso, The renewable materials company, develops and produces solutions based on wood and biomass for a variety of industries and applications around the world.
We are constantly striving to meet trends and developments that affect our customers, while working with different solutions to reduce dependence on fossil-based materials.
Stora Enso’s innovation areas include wood for construction, fiber-based solutions for packaging, hygiene and textile applications, cutting-edge bio-based materials and chemical applications, as well as digitalisation and intelligent packaging.
“We are convinced that everything produced from fossil-based materials today can be made from trees tomorrow. This competition will give us important inspiration for the future”, says Anders Brolin, research advisor at Stora Enso.

A special thanks to Region Värmland and the County administrative board in Värmland, that have financed the entire planning and coordination of the challenge.
